Trailside Recovery Coaching

Peer recovery coaching in Colorado

Conversations with someone who has been through it — in person on the Front Range, or online anywhere in Colorado. Not therapy: a person to think out loud with while you do the work of your own recovery.

What this actually is

We meet somewhere you can talk. You bring whatever is in front of you — the week, the thing you keep avoiding, the plan that stopped working. I am not there to assess you or fix you. I am there as someone who has been in it and can think alongside you.

Most conversations end with something concrete you have decided to try. What that is comes from you. More on what this is and isn't →

Who tends to find it useful

  • People who want to talk to someone who has been there rather than someone who has read about it
  • People already working with a therapist or a program, who want something different alongside it
  • People who do better with a standing conversation than with an app or a book
  • People who are not in crisis, and want to keep it that way by doing the ordinary work

What I will not tell you

That this works. I do not know that, nobody honestly does, and a promise is the one thing you should not accept from anyone in this field. What I can tell you is what happens: we meet, we talk, and you decide what to do next.

I also will not send you to a treatment centre, a sober living, or a program — not for a fee, not as a favour, not at all. If you ask me about levels of care I will explain what they are. I will not tell you which one to pick, and nobody pays me to point you anywhere.

Looking for someone else?

Most people who contact me are not the person who would be coached. If you are a parent or a partner, there's a page for you — including the parts you should know before spending anything.

Getting in touch

Fees are discussed in a first conversation, before anything is booked.
